WILDNET EDGE | DEVELOPER HIRING BRIEF Use this planning template with your business and technical stakeholders before you hire a developer or engineering team. It is a discussion aid, not an automated assessment or a proposal. 1. THE ROLE AND THE WORK Which role are you hiring for (for example AI engineer, iOS developer, DevOps engineer, Salesforce developer)? What will this person build, change or operate in the first three months? Who owns the work, and who will the engineer report to day to day? 2. THE CURRENT ENVIRONMENT Which applications, platforms, cloud services, APIs and data sources are involved? Which languages, frameworks and tools does your team use today? Who can explain the architecture and authorize the necessary access? 3. SKILLS AND SENIORITY Which skills are essential, and which are nice to have? Does the role need direct contact with users, customers or other teams? Is this an individual contributor role, or does it include technical leadership? 4. THE FIRST MILESTONE What is the smallest useful outcome to deliver first? Which acceptance criteria and tests will show it is ready? Who will review work, make decisions and approve changes? 5. DELIVERY AND COMMERCIAL MODEL Is the scope bounded, evolving, or part of your team's ongoing backlog? Discuss fixed scope, time and materials, or dedicated developers accordingly. Agree the budget assumptions, exclusions, review cadence and change control. 6. COLLABORATION AND CONTROL What working-hours overlap does your US, Canada or UK team require? Are there travel or on-site requirements? What is the escalation route? Confirm approved environments, least-privilege access and security reviews. Agree IP ownership, repository access, documentation and handover. Questions? sales@wildnetedge.com | www.wildnetedge.com/contact-us
